GForce Engineering showed-off it’s fully-fabricated 9-inch independent rear suspension set up for the Dodge Challenger, during the 2018 SEMA Show held October 30-November 2, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The kit works with cars produced from 2015 to present and variants such as the Hellcat, SRT and Scat Pack.
“It’s no secret that stock IRS components can be a real weak point in these cars,” Said Jesse Powell, president of GForce Engineering. “Once power levels exceed the limitations of the stock diff, upgraded axles may hold up, but they expose the weak points in the differential. This is where the GForce 9-inch becomes a necessary upgrade.”
According to Powell, the kit replaces the driveline from the transmission back. The IRS kit eliminates flex, noise, “clunking” and weak points of the OEM rear. Additionally, the GForce 9-inch kit comes standard with 35-spline inner stubs, and is the only 9-inch IRS on the market with those 35-spline inner axle stubs.
Powell added the 9-inch kit can be purchased as a complete kit with pumpkin and driveshaft and the preferred provider is Strange Engineering.
The complete kit includes the following:
• Fabricated 9-inch housing (bolts to factory locations)
• Heavy-duty front mount
• Solid aluminum or poly bushings
• 35-spline inner and outer stubs
• Outlaw 9” axles
• All necessary hardware
• Third member to housing
• Housing and front mount to cradle
• Your choice of third member: Pro-Iron or HD aluminum (Strange)
• Your choice of driveshaft: 4-inch aluminum
