Few companies are so dedicated to supporting the Corvette passion than Zip-Corvette. From selling parts and accessories to offering stellar customer service, Zip-Corvette gets you what you need and does it on a personal, relatable level.
Obviously, buying a Corvette from someone with an extensive knowledge and genuine love for the car is the best possible way to get your hands on one. That opportunity has presented itself, as Zip-Corvette is now selling their Torch Red, Z51-equipped, 2014 Stingray on eBay.
As the ad states, they bought the ‘Vette as a project-car solely for product and catalog development. But with testing done and photos taken, Zip is now ready to pass the keys to another owner.
Some of the work they did to the car includes installation of mid-length headers, a Dewitt aluminum radiator, carbon fiber trim, and getting the ‘Vette lowered. The LT1 and 7-speed manual transmission remain in their factory, 460-horsepower state, with only just over 3,000 miles on the clock.
But say you were to swoop in on this gorgeous Stingray; Zip-Corvette have kept the car so immaculately clean, and it’s likely that you’d want to keep it that way. One of the greatest struggles of new-car ownership is the never-ending battle to keep the car as fresh as possible. However, things like inevitable wear-and-tear and human error make that a battle not easily won.
Zip has devised tools to aid you in this fight, however, with one of the newest being C7 kick-panel protectors. Per Zip’s website, these “Clear plastic covers are designed to protect the bottom of your C7 Corvette’s door from foot scuffs while entering and exiting the car. The high impact clear plastic protects while ensuring the design of your Corvette is not hampered.”
Altering the interior to accommodate new parts is rarely something we look forward to, but luckily these panels are very easily installed. No exchanging panels or removing weatherstripping or pulling your hair out is involved. As the website states, “To attach, simply remove the lower door panel torx screw, place the protector up to the door panel, push down the retaining flap into the door pocket and reinstall the lower screw to complete installation.”
Another of Zip’s interior-armor pieces are their C7 sill guards – their top-selling part in 2015, for good reason. The product description states that “High impact, clear acrylic guards protect the entire 2014-2016 Corvette sill area from the scuffs and wear-and-tear commonly caused when entering and exiting your C7 Corvette. The clear sill protectors allow your C7 Corvette’s factory paint color to show through, plus they are designed with an impression to enhance the looks of your Stingray’s original sill plates.”
Installation of these is even more brainless than that of the kick-panel protectors. Zip’s site states, “Pressure fit installation can be easily completed in 30 seconds without the use of screws or modifications. Unique locking strips secure the sill guard in place.”
Of course, Zip offers countless other parts and accessories – as well expert advice – for any of your Corvette needs. Check out their Stingray’s eBay ad to get a closer look at the beautiful car, and stop by their website to view all their high-quality parts.
