Yokohama Introduces Ultra-High Performance ADVAN Apex Tire

New from Yokohama – the ultra-high performance ADVAN Apex tire. This tire is designed for maximum grip, precision handling, extended tread life, and a quiet ride. See more details below.

Official Release:

Yokohama Tire’s decades-long ultra-high performance (UHP) heritage rolls on with the launch of the new ADVAN Apex. Developed for the North American market, the Y-rated Apex goes on sale August 1 with 44 sizes planned, ranging from 17- to 20-inch fitments. The Apex will also include a 25,000-mile limited tread warranty.

Built upon the legacy of Yokohama’s iconic UHP tires such as the A008, AVS Intermediate, AVS Sport and ADVAN Sport V105, the Apex offers enhanced wet and dry performance, while providing a refined experience for a wide range of sports cars, high-end performance vehicles and American muscle cars.

“The ADVAN Apex is the latest chapter in Yokohama’s storied history,” said Duane Sampson, Yokohama product marketing manager. “It’s engineered for performance-driven enthusiasts who truly enjoy the drive.”

Features:

  • Maximum grip: High-grade micro silica in a wide outside rib block devoid of lateral grooves creates near seamless contact with the road for maximum cornering performance. Plus, three inside grooves enhance wet performance while a narrow outside groove dissipates heat generated by high lateral loads for optimal dry performance.
  • Precision handling: An uninterrupted center rib enhances high speed stability.
  • Extended tread life: A micro-silica compound and rounded ribs profile optimize contact pressure with the road to reduce uneven wear.
  • Quiet ride: Optimized groove angles minimize road noise for a more comfortable, quiet ride.
