GForce Performance Engineering’s Robust Axles For The Supra And FR-S

With the Subaru BRZ/Scion FR-S/Toyota 86 quickly becoming one of the most sought-out sport compact cars for road racing, drag racing, and drifting, it’s understandable that their power outputs are rapidly climbing. Similarly, with Toyota putting MkIV Supra parts back into production and Japanese-market cars now available to the U.S. public, we ought to see even more of the rare GT gracing our drag strips and road courses. Powerful versions of the FA20 or the proven 2JZ-GTE require stronger components to administer their power to the pavement.

Fortunately, GForce Performance Engineering now offers a solution to those tired of snapping their CV halfshafts. Its new Renegade and Outlaw axles feature the industry’s only one-piece CNC-machined stubs. They include aircraft-grade-certified alloys for unparalleled strength, which allows GForce to back them with an unrivaled warranty. When pushing the chassis-bending kinds of power the 2JZ is known to make, having a few warrantied parts is needed relief.

Both the Renegade and Outlaw series were renovated for 2019 to suit the modern arms race and its rapidly rising power levels — power levels which were hard to imagine ten years ago. Both axles offer anti-wheel hop technology, direct bolt-in fit, and a black e-coat finish on the outer stubs which protects against harsh conditions without impeding spline engagement. Beyond that, they’re designed to suit two different types of cars and drivers.

The Renegade’s billet-machined 31-spline CVs provide more travel and increased operating angle than OEM CV joints.

Those in need of a little more strength ought to consider the Renegade series. With one-piece, CNC-machined stubs, billet-machined CV joints, and upgraded 31-spline axle bars, these robust items should be able to handle anything most drivers throw at them. The additional splines offer more engagement and allow for larger diameter axle bars.

However, there are always those who like to stretch the limits of the 2JZ-GTE motor, since making immense power is quite simple. The madmen striving for barroom-boast amounts of power and/or placing extremely harsh demands on the drivetrain should consider GForce’s Outlaw axles. These take performance to the next level with billet-steel outer stubs, ARP-brand CV joint fasteners, and premium high-temp CV grease.

For the 1,000-horsepower monsters, the Outlaw is the ticket.

The Outlaw CV joints also receive an isotropic surface finish for a mirror-like polish. The surface finishing provides smoother operation for the CV joint, which dramatically reduces heat, prevents premature wear, and aides in grease migration. In addition, each Outlaw axle uses premium fasteners for the industry’s strongest CV axle bolts. Indeed, these can handle anything the maddest motors can throw at them.

For more on these axles, consult GForce’s website and give yourself peace of mind before that next 7,000-rpm launch.
