Forgeline Releases Three Modern Takes On Retro Wheel Designs

Some wheel designs never truly go old. Classic Enkei meshes will always adorn AE86s, and Torq Thrusts will always work on old Mustangs. Simply put, the simple designs just work. Fortunately for those who want a taste of the past, Forgeline has just announced three new additions to their Heritage line, which bring classic style together with modern build quality.

“Forgeline Motorsports created these retro themed styles to provide homage to the classic wheels of the past, utilizing today’s materials and manufacturing that make them lighter and stronger,” explained David Schardt, Forgeline Motorsports’ President. “And with our sizing, color and powder coating capabilities, there are no compromises when it comes to selecting a wheel-and-tire combination.  You’ll get the right fit and stance.”

Finished in matte medium bronze, the JO3C has enough glitz without being garish.

These three designs should fit most makes and models. The first of which, the JO3C, is inspired by the vintage Chevrolet SS designs of the late sixties and early seventies. In fact, James Otto, famed country singer, helped get this wheel designed after searching for a custom wheel that would suit his classic Chevelle pro tourer. He elaborates, “Forgeline creates the strongest wheels in the industry, with the most innovative and aesthetically pleasing designs. They’ve become a brand of choice among the pro-touring community,” said James Otto. “I’m really happy with how the new JO3C fits my Chevelle, because it fills out the wheel wells and gives the car just the right stance.”

For those who want a slightly more complex design that still offers a clean aesthetic, the classic mesh styling of the LS3C is the way to go. This fits well with German sports cars from the eighties and nineties—Volkswagens, Porsches, BMWs, and even some older Japanese cars. Blending that wonderful shape with the latest materials, engineering and machining technologies which  modernize the design, the LS3C is hard to ignore.

The last of the three and perhaps the most modern-looking is the NT3C, which uses a clean five-spoke design inspired by many five-spoke designs from the eighties. Simple cutaways and bold spokes help this beauty stand out.

Forgeline’s Heritage Series wheels represent the best of our designs from over two decades of engineering and manufacturing America’s finest custom made-to-order forged aluminum wheels. The full range of classic designs are retro-cool and work well with virtually every class of automobile, from muscle cars to supercars to luxury vehicles.
