Forgeline’s Carbon+Forged Wheels Offer Unrivaled Style And Strength

The wait is finally over. Forgeline announced its Carbon+Forged wheels at the 2016 SEMA Show, where it earned a Global Media Award as a product that has mass appeal to a global audience. Now for 2019, these wheels have been upgraded with new carbon barrels and refined flange design.

The Dymag partnership for the carbon fiber wheel barrels was announced last year and has helped Forgeline optimize the design for a much better production wheel. Both company’s backgrounds in motorsport will provide the discerning customer with some of the sturdiest and lightest carbon-aluminum wheels around.

“Dymag has led the industry in carbon wheel technology for more than 20 years, launching the first commercial carbon moto wheel in 1996 and the first carbon hybrid auto wheel in 2004. We are delighted that Forgeline is now partnering with us to utilize our carbon technology,” said Chris Shelley, CEO of Dymag. It’s not hard to understand why these two motorsport greats joined forces.

Though Forgeline assembles the wheels at its manufacturing facility in Dayton, Ohio, the flange was designed in England by Dymag with considerable input from Forgeline. “The engineering that goes into the testing and production of these wheels is very complex, and it has been a pleasure working with the Dymag team and merging our respective capabilities,” said Forgeline’s President David Schardt. A year of development behind this flange-design allows the 6061-T6 aluminum center — four of which are currently available — to bolt to the carbon barrel in an incredibly secure fashion.

The result is an exceptionally strong and lightweight wheel that is individually engineered, machined, and finished for each customer with a unique vehicle application. Surely, anything with these qualities will benefit the weekend warrior, show car, and daily driver alike.

The Carbon+Forged lineup includes bold wheels made to complement the wide arches and larger sizes of modern sports cars and supercars, though they do work well with vintage muscle cars. Those who like them large ought to be pleased. Forgeline’s Carbon+Forged wheels are currently available 20×9, 20×11, and 20×12-inch sizes — and a 21×12.5-inch size will be available at the end of August. Four styles are currently available: the CF201D, CF203D, CF204D, and CF205D. Whatever the choice, it will give just about any car the stance and presence it deserves.
