DEI Continues To Support SCCA Racers For The 2020 Season

Design Engineering Incorporated (DEI), a respected manufacturer and supplier of high-performance heat and sound control products, celebrates its first year of sponsorship for Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) drivers and renewed support for the upcoming season. DEI’s heat shields, exhaust wraps, sound damping materials have aided racers since 1995 when they began with the intention of addressing heat management issues in motorsports. Since then, it’s expanded its product range to suit Powersports, 12-volt stereo, industrial applications, aerospace, marine, and RV campers, but the company has always stayed close to its roots.

This past year, DEI started sponsoring both the Tire Rack SCCA Time Trials National Tour presented by Hagerty, as well as the Tire Rack SCCA Solo Nationals. During the three-day SCCA Time Trials season finale last month, every entrant sporting one of DEI’s decals was given $25 off their entry fee. Every little bit helps.

The biggest piece of support offered by the company was the combined prize amount of $3,600 given to top place finishes in the Solo Summer Nationals. In the Street Modified classes (SM/SML, SMF/SMFL, and SSM/SSML) where regulations allow for modifications in the cooling department, winners wearing DEI decals were given gift certificates for free products redeemable from DEI’s website.

To conclude a stellar season and provide the eager racers with a little patronage, DEI is offering SCCA members 15-percent off their order next time they shop with DEI. At checkout, use the discount code “FUNWITHCARS” for a cooler car and fewer financial issues to sweat.

This may be the first of many sponsorship opportunities to celebrate the second year of DEI and SCCA’s fruitful partnership. Getting the grassroots racer on the grid regularly is the aim here, and every little bit of help — especially the kind which prevents overheating — goes a long way.
