The winter season can mean a lot of wonderful things for people of various interests. For some it may mean ski season, a new hunting opportunity, or even ice fishing, while others just look forward to those comfortable days huddled inside among family and friends throughout the holidays. Unfortunately, there are certainly some drawbacks to this time of the year, especially for those that love their cars.
Some parts of the country avoid the frozen side of winter but for the rest of country, many of the beautiful cars are quickly stored indoors at the first sign of winter. Winter preparations certainly vary from some fuel stabilizer and a car cover to sitting on jack-stands in climate controlled garages. Either way, the point being many people prefer their prized cars not be exposed to the water, salt, and freezing temperatures of winter.
Judging from this video, this particular C5 owner is a little less concerned with the environment in which he pedals this Corvette. The video starts off demonstrating the now lost, hide-away headlights which is always nice to remember. He then accelerates as quickly as possible only to execute a nicely timed “Scandinavian flick” out of the driveway. He doesn’t recover from it perfectly, although counter-steering on a sheet of ice with summer tires doesn’t make it any easier.
You then enjoy a multitude of camera angles while he slides around the parking lot, accompanied by his seemingly frozen significant other on the sidelines. Many will be opposed to taking their beautiful Corvettes out into any form of inclement weather, but if you don’t mind, there is still fun to be had this winter with your car!
