The Shelby GT350 already comes crammed with tons of technological and mechanical features designed at maximizing your track day performance. That includes the 524 horsepower 5.2 liter V8 engine, a unique six-speed manual transmission, but to get the awesome MagneRide suspension, you had to spring for the $6,500 Track Package. That changes with the 2016 GT350.

Ford Performance is adding more standard features to the 2017 Shelby GT350 Mustang, which goes on sale this June. According to Ford, the new offerings are the best of what customers have been asking for from the most track-capable, race-ready Mustang ever built, and yes, that includes the Track Package. That means MagneRide suspension for everyone…that buys a GT350.

The Track Package is now standard on the Shelby GT350 Mustang for the 2017 model year, and in addition to adding the MagneRide suspension, buyers also get the aluminum strut tower brace, the engine, transmission and differential coolers and the decklid spoiler.

“Ford Performance is always listening to customer feedback,” says Dave Pericak, global director, Ford Performance. “At the end of last year we started offering a back seat option for Shelby GT350R due to customer demand. Now, we have adjusted the packages available to continue to provide more of what customers want on the Shelby GT350 Mustang.”

The 2017 Shelby GT350 also brings three new colors, Ruby Red Metallic, Lightning Blue, and Grabber Blue, which replace Deep Impact Blue and Competition Orange. The 2017 Shelby GT350 also comes with two new available packages, the Electronics Package which includes SYNC 3, voice-activated navigation and nine-speaker audio system, or the Convenience Package, which is a carryover from 2016 save that it replaces manual Recaro seats with leather-trimmed power sport seats.

An available audio system upgrade from seven to nine speakers with Electronics Package, Convenience Package and R-Electronics Package is also available.
