unspecifiedSteven Aghakhani of La Canada California has been turning heads in the motorsports community with his driving skills at such a young age. At the early age of 7, Steven started kart racing. His Father, Armik Aghakhani, an avid racer and car collector, saw a natural hunger in Steven for speed and driving. As Steven began to graduate his driving skills from kart racing to exotics, he began training with Michael Essa (2013 Formula Drift Champion). Steven has trapped record speeds for his age and continues to compete across the U.S. at trophy races.

unspecified-2Aghakhani races his 2015 McLaren 650s at the Shift S3ctor Airstrip Attack events through out the west coast region. Aghakhani has teamed up with US RaceTronics who are mentoring him about road racing in his Lamborghini Super Trofeo. Steven hopes to become one of the youngest competitors in the prestigious Super Trofeo Racing Series.

This past week we were able to meet up with Aghakhani and US RaceTronics at Buttonwillow Raceway to photograph his test session in the Super Trofeo. The heat was heavy and the wind was strong but Aghakhani was able to break his personal record at Buttonwillow by one full second! His new personal best at Buttonwillow is now a blazing 1:47.6!

unspecified-1We are excited to see the young generation of drivers excelling into the spot at a very young age. We believe Steven Aghakhani is the future of racing. With his passion and determination to become the best in the sport many people are calling him a young Lewis Hamilton. That is one great comparison! We will be following and bringing you more stories throughout Aghakhani Racing’s 2016 season, stay tuned to the future!
